This website
The website is a static information page. It has no user account, no form that sends data to us, and no analytics or advertising cookies. Language is chosen by the address (/ and /de/), not by a cookie.
Choosing “Join the beta” opens your mail app to hello@talkequalizer.com. This website does not store that message. If you write to us, we process the address and the contents in order to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where it concerns pre-contractual steps, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Hosting and connection data
The site is served as static files on Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3 and Amazon CloudFront). The host may keep connection logs: IP address, time, URL, user agent, and bytes sent. That is for operation and security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the site.
The app, in brief
Talk Equalizer is an iOS and Android app. It is not public yet. What follows describes what the product is built to do. It does not replace the notice inside the app.
- Voice recognition runs on the device. A voice profile is not built by uploading the conversation to a server.
- A voice profile can be deleted.
- Sign-in with Apple, Google, or email is optional. Guests can join with a QR code and no account.
- If you create an account, you can export your data and delete the account.
Recipients
Amazon Web Services may act as a processor for running the website. No other recipients are intended unless you write to us yourself.
Retention
Messages you send to the contact address are deleted once the exchange is finished, unless a statutory duty says otherwise. Connection logs follow the period described above.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For Berlin, that includes the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
Duty to provide data
You do not have to give this website any data in order to read it. Writing to us is voluntary.
